I have been seeing Dr. Garone for 20+ years. I go to the infusion center at this location for infusions for Crohn's disease and the nurses are great!
Horrible experience with front desk staff. Called twice to schedule an appointment as a new patient and both times either got hanged up on or got disconnected after a painful conversation with staff named Jennie. They either have very poor phone system or VERY poor staff, which is most likely the case!! If my first call is that painful I'm not sure how bad will seeing a doctor be!! Very poor customer service.
Hidden anesthesia fees for endoscopy cost more that $5500.00!!!! ($3,162.50 for Dr. Todd Epstein & $2,572 for CAPITOL ANES GRP LLC); I cannot recommend the GANV practice for lack of transparency in informing me that the anesthetist was out-of-network for my insurance company.
The staff at the front desk and my nurse were nice, it was the doctor who I had an issue with. Dr. Mirkin has horrible bedside manners, he has no time to even hear what I had to say. He seemed incompetent at what he did and I will not be returning. After all the issues I have been going through he told me to take an over the counter med and "see if my symptoms go away in 10 days." If i continue having these symptoms for 10 days I will be in the hospital! He then mentioned, if you still have symptons in 10 days, come back and I will do very horrible things to you". SERIOUSLY? WHAT THE ****.
Horrible clinic. The doctors are incompetent, or perhaps just greedy and unsympathetic. The nurses have horrible bedside manner, and the staff are overall apathetic, unapologetic, and bad at their jobs. You can read any one of these reviews to hear about scheduling nightmares. I went in over the course of three appointments for intestinal pain, and didn't even receive a diagnosis. I got an endoscopy and didn't receive a diagnosis! All that happened is the doctor kept selling me over-counter placebos and recommending diet changes (though he didn't follow through or show any care enough to ask if the diet changes actually helped). You would be better off staying at home and hoping whatever you have passes than wasting money on this clinic. You would be better off going to a herb shop in China Town - at least the drinks they give you there will actually clear out your gastrointestinal tract!
