Burke Florist was recommended to me by and friend - and I was not disappointed! Denise was wonderful to work with for our wedding flowers. We were on a tight budget and she was totally willing and flexible to work with us on this. More importantly, the flowers (bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, table and cake flowers) were all exquisite. We got married on a Sunday (when the store was closed) so I picked up on Saturday and everything was perfect. I will not hesitate to recommend Burke Florist to anyone I talk to who is in need of flowers!

When I ordered my flowers, I was very specific about wanting my wife to say "WOW" when she answered the door. Burke was able to accomplish that. Thank you. My INITIAL rating was low since I also requested a very colorful arrangement (and, I was willing to pay for it $100+) and yet, the biggest flowers are white ones. Its the first thing I see when looking at the arrangement. I contacted the florist and she told me that she wanted the colors to stand out as contrasted with the white; I understand that. But, it is not at all what I asked for. A simple phone call could have clarified everything.
I have to admit, I have struggled finding a decent florists in the DC area. Dealing from overseas, I felt some have taken advantage of this and I have been left bitterly disappointed with the service. With one florist and their "recipe" I felt completely ripped off and disgusted at their behaviour.
I just had a conversation with Denise the owner. Her follow-up to my dissatisfaction was prompt and professional. She made me an offer that I could not refuse. Who could ask for more than that? I will definitely be back to purchase arrangements from Burke Florist. Thank you Denise!
The only reason I can't give five stars was the form inside my bouquet broke and flowers were coming out of it starting with photos. A friend was able to tie it up so it made it through the ceremony. My DOC called the florist for help/advice but it was Saturday and he did not get a call back until Sunday. The florist was distraught about it. Over email later she told me such a thing had only happened once years before with a funeral arrangement. I asked for credit and she offered what I thought was a fair amount. These things happen and she did what she could to make good. I was satisfied and would give them another chance in the future. The bouquet was stunning and we were able to keep it together.
Burke Florist has local flowers when possible. My consultation went well; the representative was attentive, responsive, and got my vision for the wedding. I got a proposal quickly and the price was right. The flowers were delivered on time and my large bouquet and my bridesmaids' flower crowns got many compliments.
This florist is top-notch. Katy and Valencia go out of their way to accommodate and spend more than ample time with you to provide what you want and need for your order. I had a floral arrangement made for a friend's funeral and it was gorgeous. The funeral home even commented on it and I was told by the family that it was absolutely gorgeous. The price was so reasonable, I would have paid double at any other florist. Ladies..thanks so very much!!!!
