Although the store is immense, the hardware items needed are rarely available in the form one wants. It can take the better part of a half hour just to discover which department one should head for, and mostly the clerks are ignorant of merchandise beyond the department they are working in. It is not rare to be sent from one side of the store to the other and then back again even when looking for something simple. The bulk of the merchandise seems to be of middling to low quality, for example a poor selection of toilet seats. I have crossed Home Depot off my list of places to buy hardware.
Brian simpson at pro desk was exceptional and was a big help. His customer service is great and i am happy to always see him at the pro desk.
Getting better than years ago but service remains spotty. Some folks are extremely nice and helpful but often I cannot locate anyone when I have a simple question about an item location. Additionally, some patrons steal parts from the items and the hassle with return trips for exchanges makes this store less cost-effective for me. I remain fairly loyal because few alternatives exist - save for the odd items I purchase at ACE hardware nearby.
Good customer service! The guy helped me buy some plants for my front yard and even helped me loaded it into my truck!
I love Home Depot but I recently acquired a credit card of Home Depot and I believe there was $50 attached to it but today when I went to Home Depot and asked the customer service counter how much was on my card he couldn't check on the card he said that I had to go through line and purchase first and they would tell me how much money was on it I was a little disappointed.
